EFE Label
The French Companies Abroad (Entreprises Françaises à l’Étranger - EFE), was created in 2021, EFE International is an initiative of the French Foreign Trade Advisors and the network of French Chambers of Commerce and Industry abroad.
In Thailand, these companies thrive in various sectors such as culture, technology, aerospace, healthcare, and more. Some have contributed, directly or indirectly, to the expansion of French influence in the country.
EFE International aims to offer companies that promote French influence abroad the opportunity to obtain a label recognizing their efforts in this mission.
The label has the official name: “EFE Label – French Company Abroad contributing to the influence of France.” It is an initiative of the network of French Chambers of Commerce and Industry Abroad (CCIFI) and French Foreign Trade Advisors (CCE).
Its goal is to identify, highlight, and support French companies abroad (E.F.E.) that represent the French brand and help, directly or indirectly, to promote France internationally.
The ambition of this initiative is to strengthen the links between French companies abroad, France, and French businesses, while bringing together a growing community of people committed to promoting French know-how and France’s image around the world.

A French Company Abroad – EFE – is a local company that has no capital link with a company based under French law, and is owned more than 50% (or the maximum allowed in some countries) by a French citizen.

Boost Your Visibility and Impact with the EFE Label
- Benefit from a strong brand and recognition in France and internationally (enhanced visibility)Use the label’s communication tools and benefit from its visibility and outreach
- Become a member of the global community of certified E.F.E.
- Be invited, as a certified E.F.E., to participate in economic events organized locally by the French Embassy or Business France, as well as in events designed to promote the label and certified E.F.E.
- Be eligible to join EFE International as an associate member and access the services offered, including the recruitment of a VIE
- Be eligible to apply to the future private endowment fund for urgent financial assistance in the event of an exceptional crisis affecting the operating conditions of my E.F.E.
- Be eligible to call upon the future private investment fund aimed at helping E.F.E. that contribute to France’s economic influence secure the financing needed to accelerate their growth
Requirements for Eligibility to the Label
- Importation of French products or from French origin
- Promotion of France as a destination or French savoir-faire
- Promotion of France’s image and French culture (artistic, cultural, economic, technological, scientific, etc.)
- Development of local production including French component
How to participate ?
- Submit your application to the Local Committee, composed of the FTCC and the CCE in Thailand.
- Your file will then be forwarded to the Strategic Committee in France for final approval.
- A response will be communicated to you within 30 days.
- In the event of approval, a contribution of €300, payable to EFE International, will be requested to cover administrative costs related to the label, its implementation, and its communication. (The FTCC and the CCE provide this support on a voluntary basis.)
- The label is valid for three years and may be renewed if the criteria continue to be met.

EFE International ?
EFE International, serving French entrepreneurs abroad, was launched in 2021 by the French Foreign Trade Advisors and the French Chambers of Commerce abroad. As a unique initiative, it is dedicated to structuring and promoting EFE through a V.I.E program, financing solutions, a dedicated label, and an active network in more than 70 countries. It positions itself as a key facilitator of international development.
