🌱 The Story Behind the Award
Saint-Gobain Thailand is accelerating the transition toward low-carbon and circular construction by embedding sustainability across its products and operations. Its approach combines decarbonization, closed-loop recycling, water stewardship, responsible packaging, and product transparency through EPDs and LCAs, turning waste into valuable resources while reducing environmental impact across the value chain.
🌍 Making an Impact
Saint-Gobain Thailand has already achieved measurable progress across key ESG areas:
- 44% reduction in CO₂ emissions compared with 2017, alongside a 53% reduction in water withdrawal and 96% reduction in water discharge.
- 97.6% reduction in non-recovered waste, with 94.8% of waste recovered, demonstrating strong progress toward circular operations.
- 98.48 tonnes of construction waste recycled, supported by closed-loop gypsum recycling and increasing use of non-virgin materials in products.
These initiatives are supported by a longer-term roadmap to expand the LCA portfolio, increase circular materials, accelerate decarbonization projects, scale water circularity, and achieve the Group’s sustainability targets by 2030.
