Extension of the Temporary Shutdown on 34 Businesses until 31st May

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has officially released the announcement yesterday regarding the extension of business closure until May 31 in a bid to prevent the city against the virus.

Violators are liable to a jail term of up to 1 year and/or a fine of up to 100,000 baht.

The businesses which are affected from the implementation are:

- Department store and Community mall (Grocery store, drug store, telecommunication shop and public office are allowed to open)
- Restaurant inside the department store are allowed dining in, only takeaways
- Beauty parlour and barber shop (only hair cutting, washing and styling)
- Sport stadium, public park and public swimming pool (outdoor or sports which require distancing only)
- Fitness Center
- Massage shop and parlour
- Cinema and Theatre
- Pub, bar and night club
- Amusement park, water park and zoo
- Skating rink business
- Snooker and pool gaming business
- Internet Cafe and Game Center
- Exhibition Center and Meeting venue
- Museum and public library
- Nursery and nursing home
- Boxing stadium and material arts center
- Tattoo and piercing shop
- Dance studio
- Racecourse and cockpit
- Amulet center
