DFDL | Doing Business in Laos: Latest Legal & Tax Updates for Thai and Foreign Investors
As Laos prepares to graduate from Least Developed Country (LDC) status in November 2026, its investment landscape is entering a new phase. Ongoing reforms are reshaping market entry requirements, taxation, investment structures, corporate compliance, and employment rules, making 2026 an important year for Thai and foreign companies operating in or considering investment in Laos.
FTCC Member DFDL is organizing a half-day seminar, “Doing Business in Laos: Latest Legal & Tax Updates for Thai and Foreign Investors,” to provide practical legal and tax insights for businesses and investors.
The seminar will cover key topics including investment and acquisition structuring, shareholding and holding-company options, profit repatriation, tax incentives, foreign ownership and market entry, corporate compliance, new tax law developments, and employment requirements for foreign staff.
Participants will hear from DFDL experts Jack Sheehan, Managing Partner; Kooi Thong Lai, Partner & Managing Director, Laos; and Senesakoune Sihanouvong, Partner & Deputy Managing Director, Laos, followed by an interactive panel discussion and Q&A.
