GWC Giffard Asia Regionals, Bangkok, May 2017

Started back in 1997, Giffard launched its own cocktail challenge opened to professional bartenders, the Giffard West Cup. 

The first edition took place on the west coast of France, hence its name. The competition rapidly became international and more and more countries were invited to compete. 

This year, the competition has been extended to Asia with a first preselection in 5 different countries : China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand ; each champion goes to Asia Regionals which took place on Monday 22nd May in Bangkok in the brand new beautiful place at Penthouse Bar & Grill, Park Hyatt.

The top 2 of the Regionals winners fly to France to compete on GWC Finals in Angers (France) representing Asia in Angers, in France on Tuesday 6th June. 

The 6 competitors has been challenged on 3 rounds : Challenge 1, the French Affair, Challenge 2, Thai Mystery, Challenge 3, Put a spell on your cocktail.
