APBA Thailand


APBA (ASEAN Professional Beverage Academy) is focusing to solve the skills gap issue existing in the hospitality industry in Thailand, specifically in the food and beverage areas. Thus, on the technical side we have developed beverage courses to empower employees and employers and partnered with internationally recognized accrediting bodies such as WSET from the UK in 2015. It is a globally recognized certification and APBA is the only approved provider in Thailand.
The beverage course model
APBA PRE-CERTIFICATE classes are to equip staff with basic beverage knowledge, technical skills and customer engagement. These courses (wine, spirit, sake and coffee) are tailor made to suit specific organizational needs and thought in Thai or English language on a simplified course content.
 
 MASTERCLASSES - Based on Oxford Cultural Collective’s philosophy we are starting with our masterclasses this year with a master on a specific area, such as wines from Tuscany, in a fun and social environment to promote collaborative learning.

BAR 101: Bar operation and Cocktail Recipes

This course provides participants with comprehensive knowledge a broad range of distilled spirits and liqueurs and how to serve them
 

Basic Barista Level 1

This course includes both formative theory session and practical session which allow students to explore the world of coffee and have a chance to work on their sensory test.​
 

PREMIUM JAPANESE SAKE

APBA in partnership with The Oxford Cultural Collective® offers masterclasses with a unique style by a master on a specific subject for collaborative learning and social change for beginners or seasoned pros.

WSET Level 1 Award in Wines

This course provides a basic introduction to the main styles of wines available to front-line staff involved in the service or sale of wine.
 

WSET Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits

This course offers broad coverage of all product categories in the field of alcoholic drinks, grape varieties, major wine producing countries, grape growing and wine making, together with the theory of tasting technique.
 

WSET Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits

This course offers broad coverage of all product categories in the field of alcoholic drinks, grape varieties, major wine producing countries, grape growing and winemaking, together with the theory of tasting technique.
 

INTRODUCTION TO SAKE

APBA® pre-certificate Sake courses are designed for both young enthusiasts who want to expand their knowledge of sake and young graduates who are aiming to work in hospitality industry focusing on food and beverage.
