The Peninsula Bangkok’s Writers Club Workshop – Visual Thinking for Writing Process with Khun Veeraporn Nitiprapha

The Peninsula Bangkok will host a creating writing workshop with Khun Veeraporn Nitiprapha, a 2019 S.E.A. Write Award-winning Thai author of novels and short stories. Khun Veeraporn will be facilitating the workshop and writing a story with the audience. She will share tips on brainstorming and creating story characters based on a Christmas Tree theme. Participating writers will have a chance to write their own novel about Christmas adventure while enjoying the festive Afternoon Tea by The Peninsula Bangkok.

Date: 14 December 2019 from 1:30 pm – 4:00 pm at The Lobby, The Peninsula Bangkok.

Registration fee is at THB 500 net per person, including workshop and Festive Afternoon Tea.

Remarks:

• Confirmed participants will receive a Christmas story to use for inspiration in writing their novel two days prior to the workshop.
• Participants will be given enough time and must submit their completed story by 18 December 2019.
• Selected stories will be featured in The Peninsula Bangkok’s Writers Club book.

About Khun Veeraporn Nitiprapha

Veeraporn Nitiprapha is a Thai author of novels and short stories. Her work has been acclaimed for its distinctive lyrical character, often influenced by classical Thai literature, and its subtle reflection on human relationships in modern Asian society and its intersection with current politics.

Her first novel Saiduean Ta Bod Nai Khaowongkot (The Blind Earthworm in the Labyrinth) won the prestigious S.E.A. Write Award in 2015. Her second novel Phutthasakkarat Asadong Kub Kwam Song Jam Khong Maew Kularb Dam (The Dusk of Buddhist Era and Recalling the Memory of the Black Rose Cat) the won S.E.A. Write Award in 2019, making her the first woman to win the literary award twice.
