Upskilling & Reskilling: What is the Thai Government Doing?
Organized by FTCC HR & Strategy Committee
As Thailand faces an ageing population and a growing mismatch between workforce skills and market needs—including a significant number of NEETs (Not in Education, Employment, or Training)—this session will explore how government organizations are supporting upskilling and reskilling across the country.
While multiple initiatives already exist, many companies remain unaware of how to access or benefit from them. This session aims to bridge that gap by providing clear insights and practical examples.
Objectives:
- Explore key approaches led by government organizations to upskill and reskill the workforce (workers, technicians, and self-employed)
- Share concrete examples and success factors
Speakers (Tentative):
Representatives from:
- Ministry of Education (Vocational Education Commission)
- Ministry of Labour (Department of Skills Development)
- Thai Professional Qualification Institute
