Thursday, November 30th - Alexandre Dupont, FTCC President, led the FTCC business delegation to Phuket composed of Leo Ng from Philips LightingRoland Amoussou-Guenous from Vovan, and FTCC Executive Director and staff.

Our very first meeting was with DEPA (Digital Economy Promotion Agency) Phuket. We learnt more about Phuket Smart City with a vision to be “Smile, Smart and Sustainable”Phuket with a focus on tourism industry. DEPA is a one-stop service center to stimulate digital ecosystem and encourage start-up.

The delegation also met Phuket City Development, PKCD, a holding company founded by 25 big families from Phuket. Focus on 4 business units (Smart transit, smart energy, smart tourism and smart city), 12 companies are established under PKCD to drive the city towards the new heights.
Thank you to Phuket City Development and its very dynamic team
for their warm welcome.
In the evening, we had our Networking Dinner with most of our Phuket Members atThe Pavilions Phuket. 36 persons were gathered to celebrate the first anniversary of the Phuket Committee! One year already since our first visit. Special thanks to our kind sponsors: ORBIS and The Pavilions Hotel. We also wish to express our gratitude to Esmelrada Paya for her success, the number of FTCC members in Phuket has grown from a few to 25 in less than one year (as of Nov. 2017), and 50 are expected for 2018.
On Friday December 1st, The Delegation first went to visit to Desjoyaux Thailand in Phuket, warmly welcomed by Paul Desjoyaux. They have 11 branches in Thailand and offer the best swimming pool products and services for 50 years!
Later in the morning, we all went for a courtesy visit with Phuket Vice Governor Thavornwat Khongkaew at Phuket City Hall.
Fruitful exchanges about Phuket Smart City and possible collaboration
were discussed.
Finally, our last visit was to IXINA Thailand, German Kitchens, warmly welcomed by David L'Helguach. We were very impressed by the top quality and design of their products. The brand is looking for potential partners to expand their business activities in Bangkok, Pattaya or other big cities, if you are interested!
As always, our trip to Phuket has proved to be very interesting, filled with delightful visits and beautiful encounters. Thank you to everyone who made this project possible, thank you to those who trusted us and thanks to everyone for coming on Thursday evening. Again, many thanks to Orbis and The Pavilions Hotel for their kind support. Let’s meet again next year for new projects!
