On Saturday 7 May, Shrewsbury International School Bangkok Riverside will welcome prospective parents who wish to see the newly-opened, world-class facilities for Senior School students aged 11-18 years and learn about what makes Shrewsbury Thailand’s premier international school.
EVENT DETAILS
With an extensive range of new Maths classrooms, university-level Science labs, Computing and Robotics facilities, the Sir David Lees Innovation Centre is an inspiring place for our senior students. The stunning new Sixth Form and Higher Education space is the perfect place for students to prepare for their journey from Shrewsbury to Oxford, Cambridge, US Ivy League and other top global universities.
Following a welcome by Mr Chris Seal, Principal and Mr Rob Millar, Principal-Elect, visitors will be guided around the Innovation Centre, inspirational Higher Education space and professional athlete level Sports Performance Complex in an interactive tour. The event is completed by a networking session where visitors have an opportunity to meet with our highly qualified and dedicated subject specialists.
The event has a choice of three start times, each focusing on different key stages in our Senior School curriculum and to support safe distancing and more targeted group tours.
- Key Stage 3 - Years 7-9: Age 11+, 12+, 13+ as of 1st September on year of entry
- Key Stage 4 (GCSE) - Years 10&11: Age 14+, 15+ as of 1st September on year of entry (note: entry after start of Y10 is only possible in exceptional circumstances)
- Key Stage 5 (A levels) - Years 12&13: Age 16+, 17+ as of 1st September on year of entry (note: entry after start of Y12 is only possible in exceptional circumstances)
All three sessions are open to potential applicants for any of the key stages, but the content will be slightly more focused towards particular Key Stages as follows:
Session 1 - Key Stage 3 focus: 9:00am arrival for 9:15 welcome, tour and Key Stage 3 presentation, Q&A networking
Session 2 - Key Stage 4 focus: 9:30am arrival for 9:45 welcome, tour and Key Stage 4 presentation and Q&A networking
Sessions 3 - Key Stage 5 focus: 10:00am arrival for 10:15 welcome, tour and Key Stage 5 presentation and Q&A networking
KEEPING COVID-SAFE:
- All attendees will be required to confirm a negative ATK test before arrival as per our strict COVID-19 safety protocols.
- Spaces for the event are strictly limited. The school asks each family group to comprise no more than four members.
