Legendary Blue Elephant Cooking School & Restaurant Bangkok & Phuket Welcome Back Diners from 1 June 2020 Open for Lunch and Dinner as Usual

Come celebrate “Happy New Normal” with a fashionable, “feeling good” Thai meal at the Blue Elephant Cooking School and Restaurant Bangkok and Phuket – open from 1 June 2020 for lunch and dinner!  The eager Blue Elephant staff members cannot wait to pamper you once again amidst a relaxing and safe ambiance while savouring your favourite dishes, or, select new, exciting items from the a la carte menu or tantalizing new set menus crafted with tender loving care by the restaurant’s own renowned Chef Nooror Somany Steppe and her team.

“I am looking so much forward to sharing with our guests some of my ‘secrets to success’ selections in addition to a couple of new dishes based on ancient recipes  served in the Royal Kitchens for your enjoyment in the comfort of the Blue Elephant restaurant under happy new normal  standards,” said Chef Nooror who has  travelled the world as a Thai culinary ambassador since 1980.

The latest gourmet treasures which have recently been added to the a la carte menu are Chef Nooror’s own creations based on recipes dating back to ancient times such as:  “Rawang Green Curry Beef Cheek” ; “Sukhothai Prime Ribeye Drunken Noodles”;  and the famous and a favourite dish of King Rama V “Nam Prik Long Rua Fried Rice”; and “Ancient Stir Fried King Mackerel (from Samut Sakhon)”.

“Sabai Sabai” and “Thainess” set menus are new offerings for dinner only at the Blue Elephant. 

“Sabai Sabai” Set Menu - @Baht 1,200 plus plus (@Baht 1,412  nett) per person features “Mangosteen Grilled Tiger Prawns”; “Truffle Sago Shiitake Mushroom”; and Chef Nooror’s revolutionary “Thai Tamarind & French “Landes” Foie Gras” amongst others.

As for “Thainess” Set Menu such renowned specialties inspired by the kitchens in the Royal Palaces in ancient times as “Steamed Chaowang Aunchan Dumpling”; “Asparagus & Black Diamond Spring Roll”; and “Thai Tamarind  & French “Landes” Foie Gras”; and “Rawang Green Curry Beef Cheek”; amongst others are included - @Baht 1,800 plus plus (@Baht 2,119 nett) per person.

As a special treat for diners who have had a head start on cooking during the confinement period and wish to further hone their skills, Chef Nooror is offering two types of classes:  The first one focusses on ancient recipes and the second class  by Chef Dodo who will demonstrate special techniques on “how to make from scratch” the best pastas, bread, pickles, Beef, even waffles.

Chef Thavisak or fondly known as Chef Dodo is a young, British-Lao chef who grew up in the Blue Elephant environment and had developed his passion and knowledge for the best tables in London and Bangkok. 

Blue Elephant Bangkok will continue to extend its gourmet food home delivery services of ready to eat and ready to cook which has proved very popular amongst customers. 

Blue Elephant Cooking School & Restaurant Bangkok and Phuket are open for lunch and dinner from 11.00 am to 9.00 pm.
