09:00 - 12:30 Gain in-depth awareness of cultural differences impacting the workplace with Khun Arnauld de Nadaillac.
• Identify differences in behaviors between Thai and other nationalities in various situations
• Identify what can generate different behaviors: values and beliefs
• Identify differences between Thai values and other nationalities’ values
• Compare our cultures based on 7 values
• Understand the origins of cultural diversity
12:30 - 13:30 Lunch Break
13:30 - 17:00 Debunk perceptions / stereotypes / preconceived ideas about Thais and foreigners, with Khun Sukanya Uerchuchai and Khun Jean-Francois Cousin (‘JFC’)
• What matters most in Thai and foreign Cultures
o Thais explain “what is important in Thai Culture”
(in particular krengjai, namjai, bunkun, hai kiat);
o Foreigners explain “what is important in their Culture”
• Important behaviors for success in work across cultures
• Perceptions / stereotypes about Thais / foreigners in the workplace
• 5 most important managerial and interpersonal skills
• (What is a ‘good’ boss like? What is a ‘bad’ boss like?)
• Input from JFC and Khun Sukanya on Thai & foreign…

Thursday 11 November 2021
09:00 - 12:30 Work out how Thais and Expats can bridge the gap between their approaches to decision making, conflict management, negative feedback, etc…, particularly in ‘crisis situations’
with Khun Sukanya Uerchuchai and Khun Jean-Francois Cousin.
Participants work on (crisis) situations where cultural features can impact effectiveness, and learn best practices across cultures for

o Assertive communication in meetings
o Feedback on under-performance
o Recruitment interviews
o Decision Making
o Conflict Management
o Team motivation

Khun Sukanya and JFC share experiences and provide useful tips.
12:30 - 13:30 Lunch Break
13:30 - 17:00 Practice and Individual action plans to leverage the strength of diversity and differences with Khun Sukanya Uerchuchai and Khun Jean-Francois Cousin.
1. Participants review and update their own “5 advices for effective work in a cross-cultural environment” (preparatory work)
2. Feed-forward exercise among participants.
3. Presentation of tools and discussion on key success-factors to leverage the strength of diversity and differences.
