National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB)

NESDB National Economic and Social Development Board is a national planning agency with 3 main missions:

  • Formulating development strategies at the national level and other levels, providing recommendations and suggestions to the government, putting policies and strategies of the government into practice and monitoring and evaluating the government policies
  • Analyzing the in-depth national and international data which are relevant to economic and social issues
  • Searching and developing new knowledge required for national development

    Related imageCurrently, the NESDB is reaching out to privatesector in order to get to know its needs and gather all the strategic focuses, especially for competitiveness development in order to create an integrated framework for implementation and monitoring for the next 5 years. 

    Dr. Porametee Vimolsiri (profile) will introduce the NESDB and its key roles as a national planning agency and present us the national 5 years’ plan and the 20 years’ plan.  It will be a great opportunity for the foreign business community to give inputs to NESDB for the upcoming transformation of Thailand.
