MAISON&OBJET

The latest session of the MAISON&OBJET trade show, which was held from 3rd to 7th September 2010, has closed its doors after a great success. More than 80,000 visitors attended the fair this year. More than ever, MAISON&OBJET embodies this global, international and interdisciplinary response from the world of interior design, making it a key business hub, as well as a fantastic observatory of all forms of creative expression.

Rudee W., Promosalons Manager and Kankamon S., accompanied 20 Thai exhibitors at the fair to facilitate booth set up and to help Thai exhibitors on site. Among these Thai exhibitors, 12 individual exhibitors were in Hall 1 - Ethnic Chic: Microtek Products (Tazana), in Hall 5A - Fragrances, Bath & Cosmetics: MMK Intertrade (Prann) / Cote Deco Actuel: FBCM (Philos), in Hall 6 - Objet du Monde: Voravan / Moving: Labrador, New Arriva, in Hall 7 – now! design à vivre: Silp Sang Far (Flash On) and in Hall 8 – Outdoor_Indoor: BPS Milcom (Plato), Deesawat Industries, Yothaka International, Craft Factor and Nosy Comba (represented for brand Sculpture)

And 6 Young Talents Thais were in Hall 7 - now! design à vivre: Anon Pairot Design Studio / Jan 2000 Group Imex / NOV.05 / Zenith Enterprise / Trimodestudio / Peakchan, 1 in Hall 7 - lprojetsl: Korakot, and 1 in Hall 8 - Outdoor_Indoor: Dots.  For all Thai exhibitors, their participation to the trade fair has met their expectations in terms of visibility and volume of orders recorded during the 5 days of the show.

Moreover, Miss Vipawee Wanapongs, Counsellor of the Office of Commercial Affairs in Paris, France and the representative of the Department of Export Promotion (DEP), also attended the fair to meet Thai exhibitors and hold a press conference in order to promote The Bangkok International Gift Fair and Bangkok International Houseware Fair (BIG+BIH) which will be held from 19th to 24th October 2010 at BITEC Exhibition & Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand. 

For the first time, MAISON&OBJET also gathered professionals in architecture and interior designers. Thus, 25 Presidents of international associations were invited including Khun Thaweejit Chandrasakha, The President of Association of Siamese Architects Under Royal Patronage (ASA) and Khun Maythinee Suwannapunya, The President of Thailand Interior Design Association (TIDA). Both of them were impressed by the fair which focused on home accessories, home textile, tableware, decorative items, furniture and construction materials. MAISON&OBJET is an alternative choice for architects, designers, project directors and hoteliers who wish to find solutions for their projects. These 2 associations will consider bringing their members to attend the fair in the future.
