FTCC PRESENTATION

Role and Missions

The Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce is a bilateral association under Thai law founded in 1966 following French entrepreneurs’ initiative.

Officially recognized by France as Chamber of Commerce, the FTCC's main objectives are:
- To promote trade and investment between France and Thailand,
- To promote a successful framework for relationship expansion among members and also with business communities both in France and thailand,
- To support trade development for French companies in thailand as well as for Thai companies in France.

The Chamber currently has over 230 company members. More and more companies are registered as new members each year.

The FTCC is in the network of UCCIFE (Union of French Chambers of Commerce and Industry Abroad) comprising 114 CCI in 78 countries and representing over 25,000 companies in the world (among which are foreign companies).

Furthermore, the FTCC works closely with the network of 182 French CCI. They have formed a working group called CAP ASEAN responsible for development of French companies in South-East Asia.

Our Presence in Thailand

According to Thai law on foreign chambers of commerce in Thailand our office is situated in Bangkok. Although we are not authorized to set up a representative office outside Bangkok we organize networking activities in the industrial zone Chonburi-Rayong in order to animate the local large business community.

The Working Committees

The FTCC has now three working committees (Services & Membership, Activities, and Legal Affairs) and also works on other issues such as human resources or tourism. Know more about our working committees…read more...
